ERP Process Designing
Our ERP process modelling has been exploited for supporting the entire business process management life cycle. And this includes the design of business processes as well as their implementation and control. The adoption and implementation of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a crucial issue if referred to small and medium-sized enterprises. We use the same workflow systems for both modelling the enterprise business processes and designing the ERP. We produce a collaborative project between academia and industry aimed at developing a business process management integrated approach to the design, implementation and control of an ERP information system. The benefits of doing so are three-fold:
1) We helps to get alignment and understanding among various business units and geographies on how things currently operate because more often than not, especially in very large organizations, many managers and key stakeholders do not have a big-picture view of what other parts of the organization are doing. Documenting as-is business processes helps develop clarity on what is working well and what is broken with the current business processes.
2) We also helps define how employees are doing their work now, which will help define the gaps between the current and future states which is critical when it comes to organizational change management and training initiatives later on in the project.
3)And finally we help to determine the key operational pain points, and therefore the to-be processes and business requirements during the software selection process.
